The key factors you may want to consider before buying your new Mac are the CPU cores, the RAM and the storage. The more CPU cores and RAM you have the more performance your Mac will have. These are components that cannot be upgraded later with the newer models of Macs, so make sure to make an educated decision whether to upgrade this or not when ordering your new Mac. More storage is useful if you are going to work with loads of files or larger files. However, you can buy external storage drives later and attach those via USB to your Mac.
