Frequently Asked Questions

By default Swisscom allows you to subscribe to myCloud for free with 10GB of storage for files, photos and videos. The standard subscription allows you to store unlimited photos & video, files and documents are limited to 250 GB. This subscription is bundled with most subscriptions that Swisscom offers. With the pro subscription you can get between 2TB to 10TB storage.

Files and documents can be uploaded to the "Files" area in any file format. When uploading photos & videos, the following formats are supported: GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, TIF, TIFF, MP4, MOV, HEIC. iOS live photos are stored on myCloud as normal photos and cannot be displayed as live photos.

No, the quality of your photos remains the same while being uploaded. You can also download your photos in the same quality in which they were uploaded.

In order to use the myCloud computer backup on your mobile devices, you’ll first need to download the myCloud app on your smartphone or tablet. The app is available for both iOS and Android. With the myCloud app, you can view your already created myCloud computer backup as well as download photos and videos.

In order to set up an automatic myCloud computer backup, simply add the desired folder in your myCloud desktop. As long as the status next to the given folder is shown as “Up-to-date”, a continuous automatic backup will be generated until you pause or delete it.
