Since 2016, Mila has been delivering friendly, vetted, on-demand neighborhood tech support, starting in our home market, Switzerland. Throughout the years, Mila has expanded into new markets and countries through a network of strong partnerships. Aside from Switzerland, Mila is available in Germany, Austria, France, and the UK.
Mila was originally backed and owned by Swisscom, which helped the company expand its tech support to its customers. In 2020, fuelled by a desire to further expand Mila into new markets and enter into more partnerships, Chris Viatte, the CEO of Mila, acquired 100% of the shares from Swisscom.
A new group of professional investors joined in backing Mila’s ambition to become the world leader in tech support, including Alpana Ventures from Switzerland, who led the round, as well as Oriza Ventures and Silicon Valley’s Plug and Play Ventures.
