Check the HDMI cables and plugs. Is the "external screen" or something like it selected in the netbook settings? Have you selected the correct HDMI input on the smart TV?
Remove electricity from all connected devices; turning them off or leaving them on standby isn't enough. Pull the plug! Start the devices one after another and boot them up again. Do a step-by-step check of system changes. Do a hardware update on the TV and replace the HDMI cables.
Does the DVD recorder have a SAT receiver module? Is the recorder with the SAT module connected to the satellite dish?
